I could use some advice on a project I’m working on! I am redoing a kitchen/seating area in an office. In my head I was designing them separately and now it’s not looking as cohesive as I want it to be. Could use some eyes on how I could potentially make this a more harmonious concept rooted in my initial idea: cozy, warm, colorful, grounded.
the first draft renderings. These are based on first round concept boards not the ones I atttached.
I really love the blue kitchen and would like to make the wall paper work. I will ask him to just have the wall paper on the kitchen side and not in the seating area. I just feel like if I tweak here and there I’ll get closer!
Granted all of these are still options for design development
First off I love the color pallet. And I also loooooooove the seating area in the break room where the couches are. So cozy. I don’t really have any feedback other then the table that’s next to the counter top. I could see how functionality speaking it might not totally work when people are sitting down using the table. Would it be easier to add a two person table? A round table to add some different shape? Round might also tie into your lighting shapes. Would a round hightop that seats two people work to add height? I also love the blue kitchen so I’m with you on keeping that. I also like the green wallpaper. I honestly love the wallpaper wherever you put it but I’m wondering if it would really pop behind just the couch in the third picture with a leather couch?? Like your living room option #1 picture. Or that really pretty blue suede couch in living room option #2 picture? Either way I honestly love the design and these are just nitpicking.
I think this is really cute- I like the ones you have in this feed vs the other concept boards and would only make a couple of suggestions. 1) I don’t know if that dining table is that functional, it’s going to be really tight, what if you did a counter height bar set up? If the kitchen isn’t built out yet, you could even just extend the countertop from the cabinets next to that area and add some bar stools. 2) when looking at the view from the second photo the white lights over the dining table are cute but seem off somehow…what if you did cane or rattan pendants that pull in the natural texture on the other light in the seating area and the window treatment? Also, what program did you use for these renderings?
I think your color palette is cohesive and helps bring the two spaces together.
In terms of feedback… I prefer the furniture selects in Concept 1 for the lounge area. The blue chairs echo the wall color, and the leather couch will pop off the wall (and likely be more durable in an office setting).
The black dining chairs in the render don’t totally work for me. I think because nothing else in the palette is black. I’d suggest swapping them for a natural wood finish.
I worked with a renderer I found on Fiverr. His name is Adnan and it takes about 1-2 weeks to complete. It’s been an interesting process. This is a big project and I’m working with a staff (8-10 people) and I felt a 3D rendering might help them visualize the space better. I am still trying to figure out if the cost makes sense for me and in the future may need to add it to my price if clients are interested in it.
