Hi! So I am about to move in to my condo and I’m struggling with ideas for the space in terms of furniture layout. I’ve attached a picture the empty space. The total space is technically a dining room and living room with sizing of 24’5” (fireplace wall to kitchen which isn’t pictured) x 16’10” (wall with windows to white wall)
My thoughts + considerations:
- I don’t love the idea of the TV above the fireplace
- My couch is the Gather Couch from Crate and Barrel (99”)
- I’m painting my walls one of these colors: BM Soft Chamois or SW Shoji White or BM Pale Oak
Any ideas or inspiration would be so helpful!!

Hi Nadia!
What a beautiful space! I have a couple questions!
do you want a TV in this space?
how would you describe your style? (try the Spoak Sign quiz if you’re not sure how to explain it!)
would you consider a frame TV on one of the walls? you can make it look like art, and then hang other art around it like a gallery wall, and then it’ll just blend in!
how do you want to use the space? what do you hope happens in this room? depending what you want i think there are a lot of ways to play with the layout.
also, omg, those ceilings

Congratulations on your new condo! From an architectural and space-planning perspective, the key is to create clear zones for both the living and dining areas while maintaining an open, comfortable flow. Consider positioning the main seating arrangement around the fireplace as a focal point and defining the dining space closer to the kitchen for functionality. Using appropriately scaled furniture, layered lighting, and a cohesive design palette can help maximize both comfort and visual balance. At Shree Krishna Group, we believe thoughtful space planning is essential to creating interiors that feel spacious, practical, and welcoming.
