Awkward floor plan - help!

I am a new designer and just started working on a project for a friend / client who has moved into a loft apartment with a very awkward and open floor plan. The living space is 19’ long with floor-to-ceiling windows running down the east side. She wants a TV in the common space but I am completely stumped on where to put it without

cutting the room in half with a floating TV or putting the couch & TV 19’ apart … HELP.

This is the accurate floor plan to scale. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Is there a door at the top as well? Looks like you’ll need to create two separate seating zones.

Yes that is a patio door at the top. The bottom right is the hallway entrance. I have been trying to do two separate seating areas but can’t seam to get it right .

I think you just need to play with it a bit more and keep it simple. Mark out your paths of travel and go from there, that will help a lot. disclaimer b/c text is hard Please do not take this as snarky b/c it is not intended to be so AT ALL, but just so you know, this is a VERY common layout so it will be good practice for you to figure it out. Let us know what you come up with too, it is easier to give feedback on something more concrete.

Thanks Kate! I appreciate it and am not taking any offense! I know I will see this layout again and again. Guess I have to tackle the challenge and experiment! I’ll let you know what we come up with!

Hey @ashleyconner, did you settle on a layout? Would love to see what you came up with!
