I moved to a new place last December, and I’ve been having fun decorating and making it cozy! While I’m happy with most of it, the bathroom is a bit of a challenge, and I’m honestly stumped on how to spruce it up. Since I live alone, I have the freedom to do what I like, but I’m trying to keep things budget- and renter-friendly.
Oh, and the medicine cabinet isn’t really helping—it’s so old that the shelves aren’t even straight. I’ve thought about replacing it, but I’d need some new shelves somewhere, because right now, my sink area seems to get messy no matter how hard I try to keep it organized!
I tried using AI for siggestions and nothing good came from it.
Hey @solmiller1! Totally empathize withe the rental bathroom struggle. I replaced the medicine cabinet in my last rental and while it did elevate the space, it also kind of clashed because the medicine cabinet was so much nicer than the rest of the finishes.
My immediate suggestion looking at your space is to bring in some vinyl peel and stick wallpaper for the walls above the tile. And then to use this same paper to cover the frame of the medicine cabinet to make it look built in. This will draw attention away from the rental finishes and you can’t really beat that much medicine cabinet storage.
