I have the primary room in my rental and I’m really trying to fill this space well. I love all sorts of interior design so I’m really open. I tend to lean towards things like hay by design and playing with color, but I’m really struggling to know what colors to commit to with the all white walls (can’t paint unfortunately). I also want my room to just feel cozy and warm! Please offer any advice I will take it all!! From bedding, to rugs, to decor, to layout. also peep my bathroom, open to any feed back for shower curtain/rug color as well
Hey @maddywright! I love Hay too and think you can definitely bring color into the room without paint. I would suggest adding in color on the walls with big art pieces and a statement headboard.
Since the bathroom tile is tan and you want the room to feel cozy, I would suggest picking a color palette centered around warm colors, especially orange or yellow (to complement the tan tile) with pops of blue or green (to contrast).
Sharing some of my favorite brands for big color statement pieces:

Hi Maddy!
Very familiar with making a cold/blank room feel warm and cozy!
Do you happen to know what your Spoak Sign is? Sometimes assigning a style can help when you’re not sure where to start!
I always like to start with a rug for a project like this! To up the cozy level I prefer a nice shag, something like this one from revival is a color but could also act as a neutral to build the rest of the room without feeling constricted! Otherwise, a pretty turkish kilim is a great way to pull in some warmth and give yourself lots of colors to choose from!
For layout, I had an L-shaped bedroom at my last home, it was a little controversial, but we ended up laying it out like this, even though everyone suggested to put the bed on the wall opposite the door… it worked really well for us and super cozy! There’s also some good layout inspo here.
I am obsessed with the Quiet Town shower curtains! Have you seen their new “End Bits”? Linen Shower Curtains – Quiet Town Been thinking about pulling the trigger and just designing/remodeling my bathroom around that
