How to get affiliate links on social. Anybody doing it?

I am curious to know the process and how to possibly incorporate? I am not a “social influencer” by any means. Are there any good platforms to align with for non-famous people (lol)? I am familiar with the fashion platform LTK (not sure if they support decor?). Amazon?

One of our members Shayna is super well versed in affiliate links. It looks like she’s not in the new forum yet, but I will send her a message to get in here and share her wisdom  I’ve seen a lot of home decor accounts do affiliate through Amazon storefronts but also directly through bigger retailers like Wayfair.

Hi! So I applied for LTK earlier this year with my Tiktok account where I had about 5,000 followers (although I dont think you need that many) and got accepted. I create posts on LTK for home decor links and I do from time to time share them on social.

HOWEVER my biggest thing I’ve done is I actually make all the links for my products in my shop list on Spoak LTK affiliate links. I let my clients know this and I actually have it in my contract that they must use my links on the shop list since I don’t tack on a percentage to the products. I get almost $500 in commission sales a month from doing this so it’s FOR SURE worth applying! You just have to download a chrome extension and you can make any participating brand product a link.

the biggest challenge with affiliate links is that usually the commission is so low (1-3% of purchase price) that unless you’re either a) selling a lot or b) selling high price-point items it’s hard to make it worth the effort. i’d probably start with applying to the programs for brands with the highest price point so you can make sure the juice is worth the squeeze before diving in with too much effort!

just seeing this!! always happy to connect and chat through anything  I used to run Getaway’s affiliate/influencer marketing program… we typically would work with creators through CJ or Impact (different affiliate networks). a bunch of brands will have profiles set up there and you can apply to their program directly. they’ll typically give you a promo code to share with your community that’s tied to your profile so you earn commission when it’s used at checkout. the idea april mentioned about using links on spoak is BRILLIANT!
